About me
I build deep learning models that turn biological images into quantitative molecular readouts. I am currently a Computational Scientist at the Eric and Wendy Schmidt Center at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, working with Prof. Caroline Uhler, and I hold a doctorate from ETH Zürich carried out in the Mechano-Genomics Group of Prof. Dr. G. V. Shivashankar at the Paul Scherrer Institut.
My research has used imaging across multiple scales to characterize the functional response of single cells in the context of disease. To that end I have established both imaging and computational methods, spanning fundamental measurements through to clinical samples. I am interested in translating and generalizing these approaches for drug discovery and early disease diagnosis.
My focus is on image-based profiling, computational pathology, and spatial omics. I am always glad to discuss opportunities in these areas, so please get in touch.
